Prayer and the Texas Drought

For the past four months Rick Perry, governor of Texas, has been organizing prayer events to ask God to change the weather and bring some rain.  He even passed a government proclamation to that effect.  The result

OK, so am I mistaken or has the drought zeroed in on Texas like a fly to shit?  Seems like it to me.  A little of New Mexico and Arkansas too, …but Texas … BAM.

Had there been one drop of rain and I’m sure it would have been proclaimed as a miracle.  So what do we call this?  Such an unequivocal result can only mean one of two things.  Either God is mad at Texas for making such a stupid request (or electing such a stupid governor) or prayer just doesn’t seem to work…
